Kohli annihilates Malinga

Date: February 28, 2012
Venue: Hobart, Australia
Stage: Commonwealth Bank Series - India vs Sri Lanka

India needed to chase 321 inside 40 Overs to have any chances of qualifying for the Finals of Commonwealth Bank Series.

India chased down the target in 36.4 Overs! Kohli brutal 133* came of just 86 balls and, in the process, Malinga was taken to the cleaners!

Malinga, said to be one of the greatest slog over bowlers ever, was taken for 24 in an over by Kohli! Lasith Malinga ended up with figures of 7.4 - 0 - 96 - 1

This Kohli's onslaught definitely goes down as one of the finest I have ever seen!

"When Laxman bats you just stand at the other end and watch and tell yourself not to get carried away." - Sachin Tendulkar

“The greatest innings ever played by an Indian still belongs to him.” - Bishan Singh Bedi
